SENIOR ASIC ARCHITECT (F/M)

Job Description

Our client is looking for a highly experienced ASIC Architect Engineer to drive the architecture and delivery of complex SoC solutions, working at the intersection of system definition, technology, and product strategy.

What You Can Expect

  • Capture and translate customer and product requirements into robust, scalable technical architectures and specifications, aligned with business, technical, and budget constraints
  • Engage with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to understand, challenge, and anticipate evolving requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, ASIC, Software, System) to:
    • Evaluate architecture trade-offs
    • Define end-to-end solutions
    • Develop and document architecture at multiple abstraction levels
  • Own architecture definition and specification, providing clear guidelines for ASIC implementation teams
  • Drive system-level consistency and integration, ensuring alignment across hardware, software, and system domains
  • Act as a technical leader, influencing decisions and supporting execution from concept through implementation

Required profile

  • Master’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, specialising in microelectronics
  • 20+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC development, with a proven track record of successful tape-outs, covering front-end to back-end design
  • Strong experience in:
    • Architecture modeling and system-level abstraction
    • Functional architecture definition and detailed specification
    • Design-for-Test (DfT) strategy and architecture
    • Design methodologies, development flows, and best practice
  • Solid experience in SoC and system architecture across multiple domains (e.g., Server, IoT, Telecom, Mobile), including:
    • CPU platforms (ARM, RISC-V)
    • Accelerators (GPU, NPU, AI)
    • High-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, UCIe)
    • Interconnects (AXI, NoC)
    • Analog and low-speed peripherals
  • Background in
    • SoC security architecture and fundamentals
    • SoC safety architecture and fundamentals
  • Understanding of software architecture and HW/SW interaction, including ARM or RISC-V ecosystems
  • Familiarity with security and safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 21434, EMVCo, DO-254) is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in international and distributed environments (Europe, US, India)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
